Model Meals is just one of many culinary business success stories that come from hard work, determination, & East End Kitchens.

Started in the summer of 2015 as one of our first rental kitchen creators, owner & co-founder Danika Brysha says they began “with the mission of helping to create happier, healthier humans.” To do that, she created a meal delivery service focused on Whole30 ingredients & inventive recipes. As a success out of the gate & thanks to our central Orange County location, Model Meals quickly grew from booking a few hours of kitchen rental space per week to fully renting out one of our commercial kitchens & packaging space for full days at a time. “The Models’” growth hasn’t stopped with just them! Their success inspired our own team to build efficiency & infrastructure upgrades in our commissary space allowing larger teams to work better together.

“We never have anything to hide in our kitchen,” Ms. Brysha says & we do our best at East End Kitchens to help them stay transparent with large windows to the public from our health department certified kitchens. The design of our rental culinary spaces not only helps in the aim of transparency, but aids in creating new customers by piquing their interest in what’s behind the glass. And with the wide variety of professional cooking equipment available in our commissaries, Model Meals’ Chef Claudia can show off her team’s skills to the public while changing menus twice weekly & not worrying about not having the best equipped kitchen for rent to see her vision through.

In their time renting commercial kitchen space from us in Santa Ana, Model Meals has grown not just locally. They are now delivering to most cities in California, Nevada, & Arizona with the logistical help of the East End Commercial Kitchens location being in the heart of Orange County.

EEK’s central location has also brought a roster of unique food businesses that has helped nurture partnerships & relationships between many of our Model Meals & 4th Street Market vendor Electric City Butcher. Not to mention the weekly Downtown Santa Ana farmers market where Model Meals & many of our culinary creators have built sustaining relationships with local produce growers & vendors.

East End Incubator Kitchens are 4th Street Market’s fully equipped, commercial kitchen spaces for rent, ideally designed for food production, personal chefs and caterers as well as delivery, ghost kitchen / cloud kitchen / dark kitchen uses, and virtual kitchen / virtual restaurant uses.  East End Incubator Kitchens offer traditional kitchen facilities (both individual bays and higher volume) as well as gluten free and confectionery spaces.  Each commercial kitchen space is fully self-contained, in that the food maker is not sharing their space with another, and features public viewing windows into the market.  These commercial kitchens may be rented by the hour, day, or month, utilizing access to the market’s 8,000 square foot basement which includes a commissary, dry storage, cold/freezer storage, and packing/ labeling room.  Food artisans will also have the opportunity to showcase and test market their products in 4th Street Market’s on-site specialty food shop Alta Baka Market.
